 One of the ways to show how you love and care for your partner and value the times you had together is celebrating and making time to honor your wedding anniversary. Commemorating and honoring such event in your life is also one way of thanksgiving for the years you’ve been together.
Anniversaries that deserves great festivities and merriment are the 25th or the 50th or 60th wedding anniversaries. Surviving the fiftieth or sixtieth years of marriage depicts that you have fulfilled your vows and commitment to each other. Being together for fifty or sixty years are a rare event in todays times that honoring it is just appropriate.

Celebrating it can also inspire other couples that making a marriage work is possible. Celebrating it can send a living example that being together and growing old together and surviving tough marital problems can be done. One way to make this occasion memorable is having a creative and careful planning.
Planning a wedding anniversary especially golden or diamond wedding anniversaries take time, money and cooperation of all people involved. Usually it’s the children that organize such events for their parents. In planning a wedding anniversary this grand and elaborate takes organization and preparation. Each member should have a committee assigned for each aspect of the occasion.
For instance, the eldest child will be the head of the occasion’s committee, then another sibling or relative will be assigned to the invitation committee, then choosing someone with a streak in creativity and ingenuity for the decorations and the person with the most know-how on food and beverages will be assigned to that committee as well.
In planning a wedding anniversary and if your assigned to the invitation area, your invitations should be sent three to five weeks before the occasion. One creative suggestion is to transform the hallway going to the reception area in to a memory lane of the honorees’ memories. Mounting the picture of the honorees on chronological order can create a reflective feeling for the guests and for the couple itself. Adding to it, displaying memorable gifts the couple gave to each other and the souvenirs they acquired through the years, like creating a mini- museum of the life of the couple can let the honorees guests feel the essence of the occasion.
In planning a wedding anniversary always consider the quintessential meaning of the occasion and that is love, companionship, friendship and commitment.
