Anniversaries are always a —it is a time to reminisce and celebrate the previous year that the relationship has survived, and for the years that the couple must face together. A lot of couples say that the first year of marriage is the most difficult, so a couple that gets past one year (it could be an incredible feat considering that most marriages nowadays are short-lived) absolutely deserves to take time out from the tedious, everyday life. Deciding on a gift for one’s spouse can prove to be very tricky, especially for men. While the traditional gift for the first anniversary is paper, deciding on the perfect gift can be rather mind-numbing.

If you are a rather adventurous couple and don’t mind bending traditions, then these honeymoon ideas may just be the kind of gift that could turn your first anniversary into a daring and thrilling experience. If your last getaway as a couple was on your honeymoon, then you are probably dying by now to have some alone time together. However, don’t forget to do some extra planning in advance so that the trip can be a comfortable one. Being adventurous doesn’t always mean getting down and dirty, and having sand or pieces of wood in your food. Sometimes being adventurous means trying out new things, like an .

These magnificent structures which are made entirely out of –you guessed it!—snow and ice can be found in countries like Sweden, Canada, Greenland, Finland and Alaska where the climate is usually cold. The crystalline walls are works of art in itself—even the faintest natural light can turn it into a beautifully peculiar display that just can’t be found in a typical art museum.
