But for millions of men and women out there, there is one thing that is preventing them from celebrating these special acts of love: a date.
Being dateless this Heart’s Day can induce a feeling of loneliness and insecurity, especially if you are sentimental and a true believer of everlasting love. Good thing, there is a better and easy way to get a date this Valentine's Day and that is through online dating.
During this time, rest assured that hundreds of millions of single people out there are looking for a date online. advertisement
The only way that you can stand- out and fish- out quality and potential mate is to jazz- up your online dating profile.
How to write an online dating profile is not as hard as you think. Here are some great ideas on how to write a cool and captivating, worthy of a date online dating profile.
1. Set the mood. Before writing your online dating profile, turn on your favorite music that can perk you up and make you feel good and confident. Along with that, set the mood by wearing a sexy outfit or t-shirt or anything that makes you feel awesome. These props will set you in your best elements which will help you make those claims in your dating account.
2. Post the perfect picture. This may sound obvious, but if your potential mate likes what he sees, he will read the profile and respond to your ad. The e-book,Wanted: Mr. Right will teach how to make or choose the perfect profile picture.
3. Subtlety is the key. When you are writing your description in your online dating profile, learn the act of subtlety. Avoid overselling your appearance by making grandiose and dubious claims like, “Megan Fox look a like.” My friend got herself a husband through online dating by soft selling, my friend wrote in her account, “Curvy, blue- eyed banker, fit with great shoulders.”
4. Demonstrate your personality. Instead of bragging your personality in your online dating profile, demonstrate it. If you create a persona, your account will stand- out. It will present uniqueness and wit. Instead of claiming that you are funny, well- educated, sympathetic and caring, demonstrate it in your profile. Try an ad by putting on your favorite quote from a movie or book. Be specific and surprising.
5. Avoid personal ad cliché. Seriously, if you can be unique and different, do it. Don’t “I like fine dining…” when you love having backyard barbecue and a beer.
6. Include standard information. In writing your online dating profile, include your occupation, age, whether you have kids or not, whether you want a date of a life time partner.
7. Don’t lie about anything. Some women tend to lie or deny their age, it is usually not a good idea. When you are 45 but look 33, say so… but if you are not comfortable about your age, the least that you can do is to be vague about it, you can put- “mid- 30’s- early 40’s.”
8. Go easy on the qualities. In writing an online dating profile, it’s better to cast a wide net… indicating very specific qualities may put you in a long waiting list. My friend snag herself a fiancé by requesting a man who is “financially stable, loves comedy movies, can make me laugh, can slow dance, and can read between the lines…”
So there, you have it. Now click that edit button on your dating account and get yourself a date on Valentine’s Day. Good luck!
