 Let’s face it, whether we deny it or not we are all guilty of squirming when we see our date wearing something really out of this world and era, especially on the first date. Bad as it may seem but we are not saints, though we are taught not to judge a book by its cover, it’s truly difficult not to judge a person with his or her coverings.
When going on a first date is in your agenda, it goes without saying that deciding what to wear in one of your dilemma. For women, dressing something striking, subtle and sexy can surely help you in making a lasting impression to their date. Though dressing to kill is not all that matters but whether we like it or not it makes an impact especially if it is your first meeting.

Try putting your shoes on the person who with someone putting something on out of Cher’s closet from the eighties. What will you do if she asks you to go to one of the famous clubs where everybody goes? Will you go? No matter how great she may be but when you know you or the person you’re with is at risk of being laughed then sometimes you have to cut your rendezvous short.
On the other hand, if you are dressed in something nice and perfect even if it didn’t work out the way you wanted it to be, the person your with will always have that impression that you have a great sense of fashion or have great taste. Dressing something appropriate is essential in making a lasting impression not just on first dates but on business and social gatherings.
In making a lasting impression by wearing the perfect outfit you have to consider what kind of impression you want to project. I don’t mean that you will pretend to someone you’re not but to choose which aspect of yourself you want to show more. Is it your independent, classy side? Or is it your homey and conservative aspect, or the avant- garde and fashionista side or your preppy and playful side.
After deciding on that be sure that to over do it and leave some imagination to the person you’re with. Have a proper balance of subtle, sexy and classy. For instance, if you are wearing a revealing top at least balance it by wearing a decent pair of jeans. Putting something on revealing all over can distract the person you’re with.
In making a lasting impression be sure your date will notice your brain, not your breasts. Another thing to consider is the location, no matter how perfect your fashion mix and match is, if it’s worn in an inappropriate location, it will not work at all. In making a lasting impression be sure you are not over dress or under dress.
Another thing to consider in making a lasting impression is to consider the weather condition. Wearing a backless halter top and sandals can look ridiculous when it’s in middle of winter. Or wearing a wool turtleneck in the middle of summer can make the person you’re with confuse. In making a lasting impression and if you don’t know what to wear, choose something neutral and comfortable.
I believe that wearing something comfortable and classy at the same time is the best way in making a lasting impression on the first date.
