He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not - Is He Falling In Love With You?

Tags: , ,

2008-04-23Don’t you wish that you could just crack his head sometimes and read his thoughts? It would be easier than constantly plucking petals off a daisy, chanting an endless “he-loves-me, he-loves-me-not’s”. Looking for Mr. Right is never easy, but one doesnt really need special radar to know if your guy friend is falling in love with you.

Plucking petals won’t tell you if he really likes you—looking for these telltale signs will. How many times does he look at you? Does he even look at you? If he can’t seem to take his eyes off you, then your guy friend is definitely smitten. Try to catch his stare; if he quickly turns his head, then he's actually looking at you.

Smile, because that's a good sign. Do you get annoyed if he teases you or jokes around and makes fun of you? Guys are funny this way. When he’s making up silly nicknames and clowns around, maybe because he simply doesn’t know how to express himself. Some guys will poke fun of their friends when their crush is around to appear funny.

Ask your friends if he’s been asking about you when you’re not around. Guys often make an effort to take an interest in a girls’ friends to get closer to her. He may be too shy to show it, so he’ll go about in a roundabout way. Try to get closer into his personal space.

He will welcome the closeness IF he loves you. He is most definitely NOT interested if he backs away the moment you take a step forward. Talk to the new guy on the block. Sure, he won’t show any outright signs of jealousy but boy, he will be pissed big time! Men are extremely territorial; the slightest risk of losing someone they treasure will turn them into green-eyed monsters.

Guys often find it hard to talk about themselves. If your guy friend is very open, talks and listens intently to what you’re saying, it means that you are special to him. This is one sign that he is ready for a relationship, especially if he remembers even the little things that you’ve said in your past conversations.

Ask him out on a movie or a date. avoid being flirty and annoyingly coy. You might scare him off! Remember, he’s still your guy friend. Just be casual. If he accepts, then hope for more dates to come! If not, then he’s probably not thrilled to start a relationship with you.

If all else fails, just let him know about how you really feel. A lot of guys actually feel relieved when a girl opens up first. And ask him if he feels the same way too. If he doesn’t, be a brave soul. Don’t act outwardly hurt or abused because after all, YOU asked him.

You were probably imagining all those little signs you thought he was showing. Or maybe it wasn’t actually for you, but for your best friend. Oh well, you could always go back to plucking petals .Or you could pick up the pieces of your shattered pride (and heart!) and move on.

It’s your choice. Remember, there’s plenty of fish in the sea if you just know how to catch ‘em.
