Divorce can be hurtful and devastating. There will always be a feeling of loss and grief no matter how smoothly it was done. As if part of you died and will never be the same again. The separation process can be an arduous task. The continuous deliberating of your faults and mistakes can leave you emotionally and mentally dry.

The nitty gritty of the divorce technicalities can mentally saturate your brain. These are just the minor stuff. The real work begins when the divorce is over. This is when you can feel the change. This is when the reality of separation hits you, especially if you are left with the place you use to live in.

Change can be a scary thing because you will never know what lies beyond change. That’s what you and most people fear, the unknown. To overcome this, you just have to believe that change is good for everybody, whatever the cause of that change may be. To ease up the pain and disappointment, you just have to learn from your mistake and use it to your advantage.

This will help you become less bitter and angry about yourself and your situation and will aide you to stop the pattern of unhealthy habits in your relationship. Learning from your past can help you share some essential relationship advice. One of relationship advice you can give after divorce is bad things can happened to good people.




This does not only include you but your ex as well. Acknowledge the fact that you and your ex have the best interest at heart and have done anything you could to save your marriage but there is nothing you can do to save it. Even if you know for a fact that the separation was your ex’s fault, dwelling on it will never help.

Give him credit for the good things he has done in your relationship. Acknowledging that both of have goodness inside you can make you forgive yourself and your ex. Not to mention that this relationship advice can also help if you have children. Another relationship advice you can learn from the separation is the value of awareness.

You cannot deny the fact that one of the reasons of separation is losing or neglecting awareness of your partners needs and the bond between you. You may fail to remember to be aware that every little thing you do or do not does affect the things around you. Now that you have a new life, learn to be more aware of yourself, of others and the things around you.

This may be the one vital relationship advice you can give yourself because being more aware of yourself and your environment can be a liberating experience. Taking this relationship advice by heart, you get to realize that there is so much out there beyond yourself. Having full awareness can make you more pro active and sensitive of the other people.

Self- awareness is one enlightening experience. You will get to learn your strengths and weaknesses, your boundaries or limitations, you capabilities and influence and your needs and wants. Knowing that you have gained self awareness from your divorce can make you feel that all those unpleasant circumstances you have been through was not in vain because you have found yourself.
