 After a wonderful date, you know that this person is amazing and without a doubt you want to move up to the next level of closeness. Meaning now is the perfect to do the first move. Doing the it appropriately is essential because it can make or break your plans of heaving up your relationship.
The goal here is to zero out the embarrassment level and to level up with the intimacy. This could have been easy if both male and female have defined mating rituals. The challenge here is reading the cues on when to go with or to pause with the first move.

Here are some few important tips in making the first move. Look out for signs of attraction- like longer stares with smile or frequent stroking. She may casually touch your hand or shoulder when she laughs. Some girls would nonchalantly put her hand on your lower thigh when talking. Being extra observant to body language can help a lot.
For men, you know that a woman is interested in making the first move when she reveals a certain areas of her body like her neck and wrist. The woman may heedlessly flip her hair to show her neck and casually touching it. She gives you her full attention. One indication is not minding her mobile phone when you talk about your crowning glory during his college days.
Another sign that she is ripe for your make out session is when she does grooming gestures like combing her locks or putting on some lipstick. For women, you know that the man is up and ready in making a first move when he does “ownership” gestures like putting his arms around your chair.
He may also be self-conscious and show his virility by imposing his chest and widening his shoulders. Another thing to notice is when he copies your actions. Mirroring is one subconscious manifestation that he is interested in you. In conversing, it’s vital that you learn to read between the lines.
You have to take note of “how” the message is being said rather than “what” is being said. For instance, your girl asked you what kind of music do you love and you answered you love modern pop music. If she says “I have a complete selection of Neyo in the bedroom, would you like to see them?” then bat her eyelashes or flips her or licks her lips, you first move is as good as done.
In this case, being modest by answering statements like- “Oh, its okay, I don’t want to tire you by messing up your cd collection” can be detrimental in your plans of stepping up to the next level. If you read between the lines, she is in truth inviting you to her bedroom.
For women again, if you want to your man to make the first move, it’s better to let go of topic like your past relationships, health problems or you desire to have a baby. For men, if you want to make the first move, go slowly. Start by touching less intimate areas such as the upper arms or the outer leg closest to you.
A word of caution, directly grabbing her bum or breast is an express way to a slap in the face. So be a gentleman if you want your first move to go a long way.
