 Bachelor’s party, popularly known as stag nights, are the groom’s final chance to say farewell to singlehood and get away with things that his future wife would start to forbid, such as getting dead drunk, gambling and going to sleazy strip clubs. Although bachelor parties nowadays are quite different and often reflect the bachelor’s interests, the original hoopla stripper parties are still commonly done.
Organizing the bachelor’s party is the best man’s task. He has to choose a suitable date for the party, and make sure the groom is available. It could be a whole day affair, a weekend night, or an entire weekend if everyone can come on the planned date. The best man has to decide what the groom would like to do most on his stag night.

It is also very important for him to ensure that the groom does not do anything stupid that will jeopardize the forthcoming nuptials. Most of all, he has to make sure everyone is having a great time, including himself. The groom may be involved to some extent, but shouldn’t do the lion’s share of the organization.
After all, it’s traditional not to tell him what’s going on. A stag night is ideally held 2-3 months before the wedding or on the Thursday night before a Saturday wedding. Any days is acceptable, but never on the night before the wedding, lest the groom be all bloated and have a bad hangover during the wedding.
The groom and the best man should take time and talk about the party— is it going to be mild or wild? Setting the tone of the party is important so that the best man can give guests an idea on what would happen during the party. Bachelor parties, whether mild or wild usually start out the same.
The group may have dinner at a local restaurant or have a poker tournament, what happens after dinner distinguishes the stag party from any other. The groom and the best man should sit down and decide how many cast members there’ll be. Around 10-12 is a good number, but the guest list usually depends on how many friends the groom has.
The best man should keep tabs on who will be in attendance, and inform everyone regarding the agenda. Not all the attendees will be able to fork out cash no matter where the party is taking place. Everyone’s financial status must be considered and some sort of compromise must be reached.
The appointed treasurer of the group should collect all of the stag night funds from all the attendees and pay all expenses promptly. It is always a good idea for the groom not to head home after late partying, whether it was a mild or wild party. You don’t want to risk running into your bride (or worse, your future mother-in-law!) senselessly drunk! Get a room, and recuperate on your own, without any worries on what your bride will think.
It is an unspoken rule that what happens during a wild party stays etched only in the memory. Blabbers, who will almost always ruin a wild bachelor's party, are loose lips who are friends with the bride. Whatever happens, don’t you dare tell her anything about how it all went down.
You’re only going to get one shot at having a stag party. Don’t forget to have a kickin' good time!
